In this podcast episode I delve deep into the origins and history of the slasher flick! It's that time of year again where all the closeted horror fans don't shy away from letting their spook flag fly. So I thought It's be the perfect time to look into what makes a slasher film, what separates it from other horror films, and some of the icons behind it, like Michael Myers of Halloween, Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th, or of course Freddy Krueger of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Of course I take a look at some lesser known films from the 60's and early 70's which very well may have been the catalysts for what we have today.
