History of Demons | Angels That Like to Watch
Friday Mar 12, 2021
Friday Mar 12, 2021
Yes! We're back after taking a week off, and I'm happy we are - I hope you are too. I decided to bring back the old History of Demons chestnut and look at a group of angels that, well, like to watch, apparently. Okay, not really, but they're a group of angels who, like Lucifer, decided they wanted to revolt and spend some time on Earth playing with the beautiful daughters of mortals. Cheeky buggers, eh? The group lead by Azazel, who we looked at during some point in the past was followed by a slew of others, but there was a second in command, if you will by the name of Samyaza, whom we'll look at closer.
These angels wouldn't just court the women of Earth, but sleep with and ultimately impregnate leading to a potential race of giants called Nephilim, which we've also looked at in the past. This obviously didn't sit well with the higher ups, and they were punished for their transgressions. These angels were features somewhat prominently in the Book of Enoch, and several Jewish texts. And though they aren't considered "canon" any longer in biblical terms, they still have a place in the folklore of religion.
We also take a look at demon not associated with the watchers called Shax for no reason other than his name stood out to me. He was a bit of a deceitful little fella, and highly interesting to take a look at.

Ominous Interviews | Nicholas Snyder
Friday Feb 26, 2021
Friday Feb 26, 2021
In today's episode I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Nicholas Snyder, director of The Astrology of Pandemics. He's a genuinely nice guy, and incredibly intelligent, and his views on astrology are well thought out, and most importantly, they make sense. In the interview he details his experience with astrology, and how the alignment of certain planets led to him making the film. His research is very in depth and logical in a topic that has been met with some degree of scrutiny in the past. However, the field of astrology might be picking up, and with the evidence that Nicholas provides it would be hard to argue the legitimacy behind it.
I don't want to spoil too much, so I do apologize for this write up being on the shorter side of things. You should definitely listen to what Nicholas has to say in the interview, and then for even more on the topic of astrology and how it relates to pandemics, watch his latest documentary, The Astrology of Pandemics. You can find the a link to it below on Amazon Prime, or you can find it on a multitude of streaming platforms.

Everybody Dance Like It's 1518!
Friday Feb 19, 2021
Friday Feb 19, 2021
So way back when, well 1518 to be specific, the jitterbug took over Strasbourg, France... Literally. For reasons still relatively unknown, hundreds of people began to dance uncontrollably, without stopping for up to a month. People actually died from this. Starvation, exhaustion, and heart failure lead the pack - at least, if you believe the rumors. While it might not be clear how many people died, if any at all, what is clear is that the dancing plague took over. It sounds ridiculous, right? Well, believe or not, I'm not messing with you. Notes from the time confirm that this actually happened.
What if I told you that this wasn't the first time, either? Yes, it happened at least ten time prior to this, all within the same region. We also have the laughing plague from Africa, which affected about 1000 people. Uncontrollable laughter swept through villages and mission schools and young women could not stop laughing, some lasting up to 16 days. That seems almost worse than dancing for a month. Either way, it's terrible.
There are many theories as to what happened in order to cause these epidemics, from mass hysteria, to shared psychogenic experiences, to some funky fungus that got thrown into the food supply. But, despite all the theories, we don't have any definitive answers, just some fun guesses! But, for the full story, you'll just have to listen.

Ominous Interviews | Darcy Weir
Friday Feb 12, 2021
Friday Feb 12, 2021
Darcy Weir is a documentarian and filmmaker responsible for such works as Occult Journeys, Beyond the Spectrum: Being Taken, and Volcanic UFO Mysteries, the film which we talk about in this interview. He's been a busy guy over the past five or so years, releasing a number of great films, with plenty more on the way. In Volcanic UFO Mysteries, he talks to pioneers in the field of UFO study, such as Stephen Bassett, and looks at some of the more unknown UFO activity in Mexico.
Darcy has a lot of thoughts on the UFO phenomenon in general, and he does talk to me about it, as well as a great deal of other super interesting topics. If you've been a listener to the podcast for any length of time, then this interview is going to be right up your alley. Aliens, UFO's, and volcanos? All you need to do is throw in Sasquatch (which Darcy has covered) and you have the perfect blend of everything.
Check out Volcanic UFO Mysteries on Amazon Prime, Google Play, or really anywhere you stream your movies. Also be sure to check out his website for more information at: http://www.occultjourneys.com/

Richard Trenton Chase: Man, Monster, Monsterman.
Friday Feb 05, 2021
Friday Feb 05, 2021
Last week we took a little look at Richard Chase's past, the trials and tribulations, and even a few of his struggles. Don't get me wrong, I've got no sympathy for him, or what he did, but he can't shoulder every ounce of blame for his actions. But what were those actions exactly? Well, we know he shot and killed Ambrose Griffin, and when we left off he was in the process of breaking into Terry Wallin's house. Well he did, and what he did when he got inside was truly brutal, the acts of not a man, but a monster. Calling him an animal would be too much of an insult to a shark.
Chase, after having his way with Wallin wasn't done. He had a thirst for blood, quite literally. What was found at Teresa Wallin's murder was disturbing, but one thing of not was rings left of the floor, rings in the shape of buckets. Buckets to put blood into. This was a theme at his next murder as well, which happened to be a triple homicide, that later turned into a fourth. All in all, Chase ended the lives of six people, and he did not discriminate. Two of his victims were children, three if you count Wallin's unborn child.
Chase was a piece of human trash, with multiple mental disorders, that were later judged to have little to no role in his terrible acts. Having a mental illness is not an excuse for what he did. Plenty of people have mental illnesses, and they don't disembowel people at will. Personally, I blame his mother. She was apathetic at best towards him and his activities, and flat out denied he could have done what he did - probably because it would look bad on her. Anyway, for more details on what Chase did, you'll just have to listen. But be warned, it's not pretty.

Vampires in California? Of course. It's Richard Trenton Chase
Friday Jan 29, 2021
Friday Jan 29, 2021
The '70's in the USA was a wild time, man. There were hippies, there were drugs, there was the run off of the feel good 60's, but there was also war, and crime, and violence. It was a really weird juxtaposition within America's society, and it was really a breeding ground for serial killers. You had Bundy, Gacy, Zodiac and that's just to name a few. But among those you had a little known, but very disturbing one called Richard Trenton Chase: The Vampire of Sacramento. Chase was born in 1950, and ever since his teenage years, something just wasn't right with Richard. It started with the frustration of not being able to maintain an erection, to eventually, in his adult years drinking blood.
Yeah, you read that right. Richard Chase felt the need to drink the blood, and eat the organs of living things. It started with rabbits and birds, escalated to cats and dogs... and well, I'm not sure I need to spell out where it went from there. Chase was institutionalized a few times over his life, but nothing ever stuck, in fact he was at one point deemed "not a danger to himself or others" by an actual doctor. He immediately stabbed, killed and ate that doctor... And was still free to go! No, I'm kidding, that didn't happen. But he was deemed okay enough to live amongst the rest of the world, and pets everywhere trembled.
After his release, neighborhood animals went missing, his mom walked in on him doing terrible things to a dead cat, and strangely enough, people started to die. This first part of Chases life is something else, and we explore all of it on part one of Richard Trenton Chase. Next week we'll cover more, but this is certainly one you don't want to miss.

Lavinia Fisher, The Old City Jail, and Jolly Jane, Oh My!
Friday Jan 22, 2021
Friday Jan 22, 2021
Yes, we're back with our second look into Mrs. Lavinia Fisher, who you may remember from such atrocities as The Six Mile Wayfarer House, and the crimes she committed there. What crimes you're asking? Well! How about highway robbery and potential murder. You may also recall she was touted as the first female serial killer in American history - a title that may come into question in this episode. Nevertheless, Lavinia was hanged after her husband, while she wore her wedding dress. And you know what happens when evil people die under dramatic circumstances? They haunt the joint! Naturally, the site in which she died plays home to her spirit... and maybe not just hers.
Turns out that the Old County Jail has quite a terrible history about it. For over a hundred years it wore many faces, from a hospital and a workhouse, to prisons where people were brutally tortured and killed for their crimes. It was also where many men from the Vesey Revolt were imprisoned and hanged. The grounds itself seem to be cursed, haunted, and just downright evil. So why not open a haunted tour?! Of course somebody did, and because of that, many have witnessed what they believe to be ghosts or spirits wandering the building, including the ghost of Lavinia Fisher. I mean, what do you expect in a place with such a history?
Lastly, we talk about maybe the first convicted female serial killer in American history? Yeah, let's go with that. While I believe that Lavinia did commit many a murder, she was never convicted. But you know who was? Jolly Jane Toppan, who was actually born Honora Kelley. Her life was less than ideal in her younger years which probably lead to her infamous future. Mom died young, dad was an abusive alcoholic, and she ended up in an orphanage, if that's not a recipe for a serial killer, I don't know what it. Regardless, she went onto kill a lot of people. But just how many? Well, you'll have to listen to find out.

Lavinia Fisher | America's First Female Serial Killer
Friday Jan 15, 2021
Friday Jan 15, 2021
Back in the day, and I mean back in the day, when America was just a wee lad in the world a woman by the name of Lavinia Fisher, and her husband John broke onto the scene in Charleston, South Carolina. The had a humble hotel located in the outskirts of the major city called the Six Mile Wayfarer House, as it was located six miles outside of Charleston. However, this hotel wasn't exactly your typical Hilton, hell, it wasn't even a motel 8. It was closer to HH Holmes little piece of Hell in Chicago nearly a hundred years later. Yup, it was a murder hotel, and oddly enough, it took quite a while before people actually caught onto what Lavinia and John were doing.
After the last known whereabouts of countless men happened to be the Wayfarer House, the locals in Charleston stormed the castle and demanded answers. It was unclear if they got what they wanted out of it, but they did leave a man behind to keep watch. Poor bugger. But, I won't spoil the rest for you, as this is a two parter, despite it being a bit on the short side. It is interesting find out about Lavinia, as she pre-dates a lot of well-known male serial killers, and the fact that she was ruthless and so calculated with how she went about her business was nothing short of terrifyingly impressive.
The world has been filled with terrible people, and frankly, it still is. However, most times when we think of serial killers from history, we think of Bundy, Gacy, Dahmer, etc... But how many people think about Lavinia Fisher? Up until recently, I can't say that I had, but I will now.
